Release Date Shift for ‘The Thaumaturge’ by ‘The Witcher’ Remake Developers: New Timeline Announced Beyond December 5

The Thaumaturge, a highly anticipated game, was initially set to be released on December 5 on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), and in early 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S. However, the PC version has been delayed and is now scheduled to launch on February 20, 2024. The release date for the console versions has not been specified yet.

The reason for the delay is that Fool’s Theory and 11 bit studios, the developers of The Thaumaturge, did not want to compromise on quality just to meet the original deadline. They wanted to make sure that the game meets the high standards that players expect from their studio. The extra time will be used to polish and improve the game.

The game is set in Warsaw at the beginning of the 20th century, during the time when the city was under the control of the Russian Empire. In this game world, Thaumaturges, which are mages, have the ability to control and use salutors, which are demons, in battles. The game promises a deep plot, detective elements, difficult moral dilemmas, and unpredictable consequences. It will also feature tactical battles, character leveling, and graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5. The game will be translated into Russian.
